Breathwork Testimonial
What to expect during a Breathwork session
-
You will be lying down on a yoga mat or thin mattress.
-
You can have a bolster under your legs to support your lower back and we recommend no pillow or a very thin pillow for under your head to allow the airways to open fully
-
Wear loose, comfortable clothes; have water, tissues, and writing material if desired.
-
We recommend no eating at least 1 hour prior to breathwork
-
You will be shown how to breathe consciously and guided and supported by the coach during your session.
-
Your body may start to feel electric like your coming alive with energy. This may be all over, or local to one area. This is when the body begins to open up and energy and emotions can move freely through the body, even those emotions that have seemed stuck for lifetimes.
-
Different Sensations are normal like tingling, buzzing, warming, cooling, or tightness in certain parts of their body.. Whatever is happening is supposed to be happening. Your body has an innate intelligence and wisdom and it will support you in releasing what no longer serves you.
-
Your coach will be there to support and guide you during and after the session
-
We recommend not driving for 20mins after your session and giving your self some time to slow down process and integrate after your session.
Increases Energy
Oxygen is the most important resource required by our cells. The more oxygen, the better the body functions, including organs and tissue
Detoxifies the body
and boosts immunity
Deep diaphragmatic breathing stimulates the lymphatic system, 70 % of our toxins are released from our body through our breath. A fully oxygenated blood carries and absorbs nutrients and vitamins more efficiently. Essentially, the cleaner the blood, the better it can protect the body from bacteria, viruses.
Relieves pain
Deep breathing triggers the release of endorphins, which besides helping us feel good, also can combat pain.
Relieves depression
and anxiety
Built up emotional stress in the body can result in depression and an overstimulated nervous system over a period of time can cause anxiety or a controlling mind. Breathwork helps to calm the nervous system and let go of emotional stress
Improves digestion
The more you breathe deep, the healthier and cleaner blood flow you will have. That promotes the function of organs, including your intestines
Increase focus, creativity and strengthen intuition
More oxygen to the brain will help in achieving clarity, productivity and increased creativity. But is can also enable us to quiet our busy mind, and listen inward and hear what our intuition has to say
Relaxation and Mental wellness
Breathwork can calm and distract the brain, creating relaxation in body and mind. It can quiet those constantly grinding thoughts that make us feel less, and allows us to release blocked feelings and emotions.
Improves sleep patterns and alleviates insomnia
Deep breathing can increase the melatonin production, “sleep inducing hormone”, which is often at low levels in insomniacs
Decreases stress, increases emotional balance
When stress enters your life, your brain releases cortisol, “stress hormone.” Deep breathing will lower your heart rate, more oxygen will enter your bloodstream and communicate with the brain to relax.
Relieves depression
and anxiety
Built up emotional stress in the body can result in depression and an overstimulated nervous system over a period of time can cause anxiety or a controlling mind. Breathwork helps to calm the nervous system and let go of emotional stress
Calms and grounds nervous system
The breath is linked to your nervous systems. The parasympathetic will bring us to a relaxed state of mind. However, here we first breathe into our sympathetic nervous system that enables us to release stuck energy before we restore.
Lower blood pressure
When muscles relax, the blood vessels are allowed to dilate. This improves circulation and can lower blood pressure. Deep breathing can also slow down and regulate the heart rate, which also helps with lowering the blood pressure.
Healing Subconscious Programming and
Emotional traumas
About 95 percent of our brain activity lies beyond conscious awareness. Life events can be imprinted on our muscles and our nervous system, and if not released, will eventually show up as negative behavior. Breathwork can release and help to let go of stuck energy and heal from within
Greater self love and self-acceptance
Transformational Breathwork can enable transient hypofrontality, which in short means that we bypass a part of our frontal lobe where the inner critic exists, the monkey mind, exists. Shut down the inner critic and gain an open heart.
Feelings of happiness, wholeness and courage
Deep breathing also ups your endorphins, the “feel good” chemical, helping you reach an emotional balance and a wanting to arise
